New Parishioners
St. Bartholomew welcomes new parishioners.  Please come to the parish office or call us at 416-291-5250 to register.  You can also download a Parish Registration card.pdf, fill it in, and bring it to the office.

Everyone is encouraged to use envelopes for their regular donations so that we can issue a tax receipt.  Envelopes are available from the office.

Parish Registration
In keeping with the norms of the Diocese of Toronto, families seeking Baptism, First Communion or Confirmation must register as parishioners and regularly attend services at the parish before beginning preparation for these sacraments.

If you are looking forward to celebrating one of these sacraments with your child in the coming year, please take a moment to check with the office to ensure that you are registered and obtain your envelopes.

Registration forms are available in the office, or you can download a Parish Registration card.pdf here.

Children's Liturgy

Children's Liturgy
St. Bartholomew's has a special children's liturgy throughout the school year. Children are invited to attend during the first part of the Mass, and return to their parents after the homily.

The children's liturgy is available at the Saturday 5:00 pm Vigil Mass.

Wedding ringsMarriage
Couples who are planning to be married must contact the parish priest one year in advance.  Couples are required to attend a personal preparation course for entering marriage.  Please do not book the time and place of the wedding and reception before your appointment at the Church.

To prepare for your meeting with the priest, please fill out this Wedding Application Form and drop it off at the parish office.

See this schedule of Marriage Prepartion Courses in Scarborough in 2024 to enroll.

Holy Baptism

Baptism
Parents must be registered and attending the parish for at least 6 months. An information package is available at the parish office.  Forms are also available from the website under Our Community->Forms.  Upon completion, there will be an interview by one of the deacons or the parish priest. The celebration of the Sacrament is on the last Sunday of the month.

For those who wish to get an updated Baptismal Certificate, we need a copy of your Birth Certificate for identification. You can just scan and send it in an e-mail. You will be notified when it is ready for pick up. If you can't pick it up, please send us a self-addressed stamped envelope.   You can also print this application form.

Mass intentions

Mass intentions

The Mass is a beautiful celebration of Christ's love for us. What better way to honor someone than to have a Mass offered in their name. Mass intentions are traditionally offered for at least a $20 gratuity for a daily Mass.  On a Saturday morning Mass we celebrate multiple intentions.

How do I sign up for a Mass Intention?
You can fill out a Mass Intentions envelope located in the hallway beside the sacristy, and bring to our parish office for confirmation of the availability of dates your Mass Intentions to be celebrated.
One intention per Mass is available, except for Saturdays. The Saturday morning Mass is reserved for multiple intentions.

Please read the Mass Intention Guidelines for a full explanation of how Masses are scheduled.
