Important note regarding donations

All donations and/or gifts in cash and kind cannot be refunded/returned as per CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) and the policy of the Archdiocese of Toronto. Once the item has been given, it is already the property of the parish.

As per the CRA guideline: “A registered charity cannot return a donor's gift. At law, a gift transfers ownership of the money or other gifted property from the donor to the charity. Once the transfer is made, the charity is obliged to use the gift in carrying out its charitable purposes.”

In addition the parish will also not lend/loan any property of the parish to any individual/parishioner.
