I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who shared their gifts, talents and time to make it possible for us to have a grace filled and blessed celebration of Easter.
To the parishioners of St. Bartholomew thank you for your generous contributions to the vibrant manifestation of your stewardship of the parish sharing in the mission and ministries of the Church.
We are all saddened by the passing of Pope Francis at the same token we thank God for his gift of ministry. Let us keep alive through our works his call to attend to the needs of others, the poor and the marginalized in our society. In this coming days we invoke the power of the Holy Spirit to guide the College of Cardinals as they will gather to the conclave to elect the new successor of St. Peter.
I also ask you to pray for the children of our parish and their parents/legal guardians as they are about to celebrate the sacraments. The young children to receive the Holy Body and
Blood of the Risen Lord in Holy Communion. The young adults to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation. It is indeed a manifestation of our renewed hope of the church that continues to call disciples to missionary life to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
May the spirit and grace of Our Lord of Divine Mercy continue to strengthen and guide us all.
Your brother in Christ,
Fr. Serrano
