30th Anniversary
On September 15, 2024, the Catholic Women's League of St. Bartholomew parish celebrated their 30th Anniversary.
The event started with a prayer service and a reflection given by our Spiritual Advisor, Father Fernan Serrano. Father Serrano then presented the council with a beautiful image of our patroness, Our Lady of Good Counsel.
This was followed by a delicious meal, attended by special guests Connie Cristinziano, Vice President of the Toronto Diocesan Council, and Gwen Faustin, our Scarborough Regional Chair.
Service pins were awarded to members who have been a CWL member for 10, 25, and 30 years. Congratulations to our 30-year members who were also the founding members of our council in 1994: Brenda Bourne, Theresa Greasley, Anna Leodolter, Trudy Vanderkooy, Ellen Yam, and Sonia Yam. There was a also a special tribute to Desiree DeAbreu, who has been a CWL member for 61 years.
